CommonCircle Zoom Integration

Connect your own Zoom account to schedule private committee meetings.

What the integration does

CommonCircle lets an eligible organization member authorize their own Zoom account and create meetings for committees they currently belong to. Meetings remain owned by that Zoom user and follow their Zoom license, security settings, and account policies. Other organization members cannot use the connected account to host their own meetings.

Connect Zoom

  1. Sign in to your organization's CommonCircle member portal.
  2. Open Meetings, then My Zoom meetings.
  3. Select Connect my Zoom account.
  4. Sign in on Zoom's website and review the requested permissions.
  5. Approve the connection. CommonCircle never receives your Zoom password.

Schedule and manage a meeting

  1. Choose a committee you are authorized to schedule for.
  2. Enter the meeting title, start and end time, time zone, and optional agenda.
  3. Review the Zoom owner, committee audience, and time before creating the meeting.
  4. Publish the meeting only when it is ready for eligible committee members.
  5. Review the current committee recipients separately before sending invitations.

CommonCircle requests a unique meeting ID and waiting room. It manages only meetings created through CommonCircle. It does not request recordings, transcripts, billing, contacts, or Zoom account-administrator access.

Permissions and stored data

The integration reads the authorized Zoom user's identity and license type and can create, read, update, delete, and list that user's meetings. CommonCircle stores the account identity, granted scopes, encrypted OAuth credentials, and meeting metadata needed to synchronize meetings. OAuth credentials are encrypted at rest and are never available to browser clients or other members.
