User Data Deletion
Last updated: June 13, 2026
CommonCircle respects requests to delete personal information. This page explains how members, organization admins, and people who connected Facebook or Instagram accounts can request deletion of data associated with CommonCircle.
Request Deletion
Email info@commoncircle.app with the subject line "Data deletion request". Include the email address used with CommonCircle and the organization name or portal URL, if available.
We may ask for additional information to verify that you are authorized to request deletion for the account or organization data.
Facebook and Instagram Connections
If you connected a Facebook Page or Instagram Business account through Social Hub, an authorized organization admin can disconnect it inside CommonCircle from Admin - Social Hub. Disconnecting removes the stored access token so CommonCircle can no longer publish to that account.
You can also remove CommonCircle from your Facebook account by going to Facebook Settings - Apps and Websites, selecting CommonCircle, and removing access. If you submit a deletion request through Facebook, CommonCircle's Meta data deletion callback removes stored Meta connection data tied to that Facebook user.
What We Delete
- Personal profile information associated with your CommonCircle account, where deletion is permitted
- Pending Meta OAuth sessions tied to your Facebook user ID
- Connected Facebook Page and Instagram Business account records tied to your Facebook user ID
- Encrypted Social Hub access tokens tied to those connected accounts
Data We May Retain
Some records may be retained where required for legal, security, financial, or organization recordkeeping reasons. For example, payment records, audit logs, and organization event history may be retained or anonymized when needed to preserve accurate operational records.
Response Time
We will review deletion requests and complete eligible deletion within 30 days unless a shorter period is required by applicable law.
